Seedream 5.0 Pro Edit is the multi-reference image editing variant of ByteDance's flagship Seedream 5.0 Pro model, unveiled at the Volcano Engine FORCE 2026 conference on June 23, 2026. It applies the Pro model's quality-first generation pipeline to instruction-driven editing: supply one to ten reference images plus a natural-language instruction, and receive a single, carefully composed result that follows the edit while preserving what should not change. - Two Output Tiers: Economical 1.5K tier (≤ ~2.36M pixels) and premium 2K tier (up to 2048×2048; 16:9 output up to 2848×1600 ≈ 2.8K in resolution-keyword mode), each with any aspect ratio from 1:16 to 16:1.
- Transparent Background Output: Set `background` to `transparent` to receive a PNG with a genuine alpha channel instead of a flat backdrop — cutouts, stickers, logos, and product shots come back ready for compositing. Transparent mode requires PNG output and exactly one input image, and that image must itself be a PNG carrying an alpha channel.
