Pure white background cutout with a natural contact shadow

Most main images fail on three things: grey 'white', a halo around the edges, and a product that floats with no shadow. Fix them in that order. Cut out first, then place on true white (RGB 255, 255, 255), then add one soft contact shadow directly under the product.

Do not let the model redesign the product. The edit instruction names what changes (the background) and what must not change (shape, colour, logo, label text). If the cutout eats a thin strap or a transparent cap, mask that region and re-run only there instead of regenerating the whole image.

You'll need

Shoot or pick the source

Even light, product fully in frame, no fingers on the edge. A plain wall behind it makes the cutout cleaner.

Cut out

Run background removal. Zoom to 200% on edges: straps, cables, fur, glass rims. Re-mask only the bad edge if needed.

Place on true white

Canvas RGB 255/255/255, product centred, filling roughly 85% of the longest side.

Add one contact shadow

Soft, short, directly beneath. No long drop shadow, no reflection floor unless the category expects it.

Export

At least 2000 px on the long side so zoom works. Upscale once at the end if the source is small.

Paste this instruction

Replace the background with pure white RGB 255,255,255. Keep the product exactly as it is: same shape, colour, logo and label text. Add a soft natural contact shadow directly under the product. Product centred, filling 85% of the frame, square 1:1, no props, no text.

Don't stack

Do not add props, text badges, or watermarks to a main image. Do not brighten the product itself to make the white look whiter — that shifts the real colour and invites returns.
